Our Business Principles

All over the globe, our employees represent 迈博体育 as a “world leader in engineered polymer solutions.” One of the strong foundations of this world leadership is that we must act responsibly and create added value for our stakeholders without compromising the high standards we have set ourselves.

迈博体育’s Code of Conduct reflects that we support and operate our business in accordance with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the general concepts expressed in the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

It is the duty of each manager to ensure that employees understand the Code of Conduct.

迈博体育 requires suppliers, sales agents, distributors and consultants to adopt the principles in this Code of Conduct. 迈博体育 also encourages support of the principles in the UN Global Compact, which we signed in 2007.

How to apply the code

The Code of Conduct emphasizes and summarizes existing 迈博体育 Group policies and directives and should be applied as a support tool laying down the basic rules and principles on which day-to-day work is based.

It is the duty of 迈博体育 managers to include Code of Conduct in employee training. Every new employee should be given the opportunity to read and discuss the Code. 迈博体育 regularly conducts training, in e-learning format as well as in classic classroom format, and provides information to support the Code of Conduct.

Our Whistleblower system

The Group’s Whistleblower system shall be used when there is reason to suspect that laws, human rights or the Code of Conduct are being violated. Possible such violations include corruption, fraud or harassment.

Every employee in the Group should, without fear of reprisal from anyone, use the Whistleblower system to inform our Senior Vice President General Counsel and Senior Vice President Human Resources of any such improper activity.

 

Suppliers, customers and other external stakeholders involved with the 迈博体育 Group, may report suspected violations of the law, human rights or the Code of Conduct, directly to local operation managers or by using the 迈博体育 Whistleblower system.

迈博体育 believes that conducting business with transparency and responsibility is critical to maintain trust and credibility with our key stakeholders: customers, suppliers, employees and investors/shareholders.

 

In the Statement about modern slavery, forced labor, human trafficking and child labor 2024, signed by CEO Peter Nilsson, we describe how 迈博体育 manages the issues of modern slavery, forced labor, human trafficking and child labor, throughout its operations and supply chain, in line with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (covering 迈博体育 Sealing Solutions UK Ltd, and 迈博体育 Industrial Products UK Ltd.), Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 (covering 迈博体育 Holdings Australia Pty Ltd, which has the following operating companies in Australia: 迈博体育 Marine Systems Australia Pty Ltd and 迈博体育 Perth Pty Ltd, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (the prevailing US standard) and activities prohibited by the US Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.222- 50(b). This statement is for the year ending 31 December 2023 and was approved by the Board of Directors on 30th May 2024.

 

Year-to-year performance in this area will continue to be described in our Annual Report following the end of our financial year on 31 December.
